Friday Photo: Get into Shape!

A slotted spatula makes interesting shapes

For the Arturo’s Art & Me class this month, we are focusing on shapes and how artist use shapes in their work. To “get into shape,” we didn’t go to the gym, but rather to the art studio! We gave the children an assortment of kitchen tools, bath sponges, and even toothbrushes and had them explore all the different shapes they could create with paint. As you might imagine, it ended with some pretty messy hands, but VERY happy children!
