We ended the summer camp week with a bang! Our resident storyteller Ann Marie Newman taught a camp called Through New Eyes, which focused on artmaking through stories and the biographies of artists in the collection. For the student art show today, campers developed a performance art piece that took place in the Center for Creative Connections. Wearing garment bags decorated with self portraits and masks made during the week, campers circumambulated an obelisk inspired by Silence and Time. The performance culminated with an unmasking of the campers, in which they revealed themselves to the audience by speaking their names into the microphone. It was quite a sight!

Campers perform for their families.
