One sunny afternoon this week, I met a young girl who was working diligently at the Space Bar in the Center for Creative Connections. She had visited the galleries earlier that day with her mom, and she was working on making miniature drawings of works of art–some were almost direct replicas of things that she had seen in the gallery (like the Piet Mondrian paintings that can be found in the European Galleries) and others came from her imagination. After finishing her drawings, she carefully crafted identical aluminum foil frames. See her photo below for an example of one of her finished masterpieces!
