Two sibings ham it up inside "Eastport, at Passamaquoddy Bay, Maine" by Thomas Chambers

It’s spring break at the DMA, and we’ve been having a super fun “stay”cation all week long in the Center for Creative Connections. One not-to-be-missed activity has been our green screen photo shoot  in the Tech Lab. Families get their photos taken in front of a large piece of bright green cloth, and then we use Photoshop to place them into a painting from our collection. To go along with the vacation theme and our new exhibition The Lens of Impressionism, all the paintings show views of the ocean or beach. Take a look at what families have done at our Flickr account here.

Another popular stop has been our Art Studio, where families have been making Alice in Wonderland-inspired hat creations. The Mad Hatter would be quite jealous, I think!

If you haven’t had a chance to visit us yet, come by tonight for Late Night or this weekend, and make a hat of your own!
